About Us
Two owners. One in-house team. Fifteen years building on the Peninsula. Every joint, every finish, every permit, built to outlast us.
Our Story
We started Westward because we have been on the other side of the table. We know how a remodel goes wrong with the wrong partner: late updates, inflated change orders, decisions made for the invoice instead of the home. Westward exists to be the contractor we would have hired.
We build homes, not houses. A remodel or a new build is stressful for a family, more noise, more decisions, and more unknowns than anyone signs up for. Our work is to carry the weight of the build so the end of it is a home you love to live in. Electrician, plumber, and certified roofers are on our payroll. We partner with architects and designers we trust, and we know the people who approve your permits. Ben and Ehoud stay in the details on every project, because that is where a house becomes a home.
We chose the name Westward because every project is a journey, toward the Peninsula communities we love, toward homes where the craft speaks. The best part is not the finish. It is watching families live in the work, years after the keys change hands.
Meet the Founders
Ehoud runs operations. Ben runs the craft. On every project, both of us are in the details that turn a house into a home.
Ben has been building on the Peninsula since 2010. Over 16 years and 200+ projects, he has become known for the work other contractors turn down, structurally challenging remodels, additions that need to feel like they were always there, and a craft sensibility that treats every joint and every finish as a decision that has to endure for twenty years.
Ben listens before he prices. If a simpler version of your project would serve you better, he'll talk it through with you before handing over a number.
Ehoud spent 15+ years in marketing and product management before joining Westward as co-founder. He grew up around his family's construction fabrication factory, so he has known the trade since childhood.
Ehoud first met Ben as a client, hired him to remodel his own home, liked the work enough to become his partner instead. He runs the operational side: planning, communication, keeping projects on schedule, and making sure the details that matter don't get lost between trades.
What Guides Us
Every design decision starts with how the space will be used, not the listing photo. We push back on choices that look good on paper and frustrate you for years.
Every joint and every finish is a decision that has to hold up for twenty years. We don't cut corners where no one will see, because we will see, and so will the next homeowner.
Every project is scoped around what the home needs. When a simpler version serves you better, we raise it. Change orders surface before the work, not on an invoice after.
