Why Westward for Kitchens

A kitchen is where life actually happens.

Most of our clients come to us first for a single-room project, and most of the time that project is a kitchen. The reason: the kitchen gets lived in more intensely than any other space, and the difference between a thoughtful remodel and a generic one shows up every single day.

Layout around real life

Every kitchen design starts with how you actually cook. Who cooks. Whether people hang out while you cook. Whether the kitchen opens to a living space. We push back on decisions that look good in photos but would frustrate you for years.

In-house trades

Our electrician and plumber are on our team, not on a phone tree. Panel upgrades for induction ranges, gas line work, repipes, pot fillers, radiant floor heat. No coordination overhead between three outside subs with three schedules.

Custom millwork

Most of the cabinetry you see in these photos is custom-built for the project. Stock cabinetry is fine for some budgets; custom is where kitchens go from good to permanent.

Permit-ready plans

Structural kitchen projects (wall removals, plumbing moves, electrical upgrades) need proper permits. We handle the submissions so your kitchen doesn't become a disclosure issue the next time you refinance or sell.
